Deep Inside / Sunset on Lonely street

from Count the better Days by Martin van de Vrugt

lyrics

Where am i
lonely searcher for sunny skies
As the night
seemed to black-out paradise
It made me change
searchin', buildin' and rearrange
It stopped the rain
cleared the landscape
eased the pain
Now i'm older
Turned from a searcher to a holder
It wasn't a fault there
It's the prettiest weight
i ever held on my shoulders
Guess i'll never leave
the lovin' laughter that i recieved
What i see here
is all that i believe
But deep inside
there's a feelin' that i'll always hide
As times goes by
sometime i will find my light

I look and see the sun set
down on lonelystreet
Throwin' shadows on the thoughts i've had
and people i should have met
gather 'round the dyin' tree
decidin' what they think is best
Fadin' dreams
Fadin' past
These things will never last
For no-one ever changed my soul
and no-one ever will
And it may seem quite childlike now
but i'm dreamin' still
